Volunteer at the Brisbane South Toy Library

The Brisbane South Toy Library is 100% run by volunteers and we are growing our team.

We are always looking out for Toy Library Assistants to help out at our open sessions. By growing our team of volunteers, we will be able to serve even more members with additional open times.

But if you would like to contribute in other ways, there are plenty of other opportunities, such as toy maintenance and cataloguing, administration, grant writing - or even helping set up or help run fun Brisbane South Toy Library events!

Whether you can help at an open session, or behind the scenes, we will value your unique set of skills and experience.

Time is precious and we know our volunteers have other commitments. By contributing just two hours a month at the library, you can make a difference.
Use your skills (and learn more!)

There’s always something to do at the library, and if you have a specific skill, we’d like to hear about it. Or maybe you’d like to grow your computer, language or management skills in a supportive environment?
Family-friendly

Your children are most welcome to come along with you to the library. There is a play space for babies and young children, and older children may even like to help during the session.

You don’t have to be a member to volunteer. However, by volunteering your time, not only will you be helping the Toy Library open its doors to families, you can also enjoy additional benefits if you would like to join as a member. These include:

Annual renewal membership of just $15
Toy tester volunteers will be the first to try new toys added to our collection.
